The range of playful accessories were inspired by traditions both at home in Spain and the Far East, imbuing the pieces with cultural and historical meaning.
Bangles are crafted from copper to look like rings of Bamboo, a naturally occurring grass in Asia whose versatility is fundamental to the life and customs across the continent. It is a food source, building material and it is frequently used for making instruments, furniture and textures, evidenced by its appearance as a key component in some of the collection´s bags and baskets.
The charms take us to each end of Iberia. Fish figurines are knotted together to echo Andalucian “espetos” – skewered sardines cooked on the beach over open fires. Stones and resin eggs are tied with Calf strings in the same way that Galician fishermen would attach weights to their nets.
