LOEWE Open Archives
LOEWE is pleased to present the LOEWE Open Archives. A special, dedicated space showcasing a changing selection of one-of-a-kind pieces from the house's prized archives, not normally accessible to the general public.
LOEWE Open Archives is located at LOEWE's historic Gran Via store, the brand's longest standing boutique. The store opened in 1939 in a historic building on the most famous boulevard in the Spanish capital.
“LOEWE: Past, Present, Future”
Many pieces in the exhibit came from clients who owned them for decades, lovingly guarding them across the generations before gifting them to the LOEWE Archives.
LOEWE's archive custodians have put together an illuminating display that traces a century of innovation in bag design, an area in which LOEWE has set global standards from its earliest days.
From first collections to special editions, forms and materials have been explored in an ongoing quest to define the meaning of modernity and desirability, whilist staying true to the combination of leather craft and design at the core of LOEWE.
Exhibitions at LOEWE Gran Via will change periodically.
