
38th LOEWE FOUNDATION International Poetry Prize
Introducing the latest edition of the Prize, which champions poetic talent in Spanish. On this occasion, over 3,000 entries from 45 countries were received, with 36 shortlisted by a jury of leading literary figures.


The winners
Hugo Mujica is the winner of the LOEWE FOUNDATION International Poetry Prize 2025 for ‘Las hojas, la brisa y la luz danza las sombras’. The LOEWE FOUNDATION International Poetry Prize Young Creation Award 2025 goes to Leonor Pataki for ‘Una madeja de estambre’.
Hugo Mujica
Hugo Mujica (Buenos Aires, 1942) studied Fine Arts, Philosophy, Philosophical Anthropology and Theology. He has published 27 books, including more than 12 poetry collections, and his writing has been translated into numerous languages.
Leonor Pataki
Leonor Pataki (Oaxaca, 1995) is a multidisciplinary artist, poet, audiovisual producer and coordinator of cultural projects.

About the LOEWE FOUNDATION International Poetry Prize
An accolade awarded on a yearly basis, the Prize was established in 1988 by the FOUNDATION’s then president, Enrique Loewe, together with poet Luis Antonio de Villena and editor Jesús Visor. Since its inception, its jury has recognised some of the most outstanding poets in the Spanish-speaking world.
