Les Journées Particulières

The LVMH Group celebrates its fourth edition of Les Journées Particuliéres – a weekend where its luxury houses open their doors to the public to share their secrets and treasures.

On 13 & 14 October, LOEWE is hosting a program of free activities to pass on their craft savoir faire and demonstrate the superior quality of its leathers.

The event is for all ages and hosted at CASA LOEWE, its flagship store in the Salamanca neighborhood of Madrid. LOEWE is the only brand in Spain to be participating in the initiative.

Guided Visit to Casa LOEWE Madrid

A walk through CASA LOEWE, the brand´s first flagship in Spain, takes us into the apartment of an avid art collector. It boasts almost 1000m2 across three floors and plays host to an impressive assemblage of English antiques and a striking collection of fine art, carefully curated by LOEWE´s creative director Jonathan Anderson.

You can find works by artists including Sir Howard Hodking, Richard Smith, Siobhan Hapaska, William McKeown and the Spaniard Gloria García-Lorca, amongst various others.

Children's Workshop

LOEWE is organising a series of workshops specially for the little ones. Escorted by a guardian, children can create their very own version of the Mini Gate Bag and take it home with them. The workshops also offer the children the chance to make autumn animal charms, enabling them to learn basic craft skills in a fun way, whilst using LOEWE leather in various forms and colors.

Parents are also invited to attend the Gate bag workshop or visit the LOEWE ¨PAST, PRESENT, FUTURE exhibit.

Making of The Gate Bag

Across the weekend, LOEWE is offering a craft workshop to demonstrate how the new iconic Gate bag is made. There will be an expert master craftsman who will explain the secrets behind each step of the process – cut out, assembling and stitching. This is a unique process which takes place exclusively at the LOEWE FACTORY located outside Madrid.

"LOEWE: Past, Present, Future" Exhibit

The ¨LOEWE: Past, Present, Future¨ exhibit is showcasing over 50 unique leather items from the LOEWE archives, with some of these treasured items dating back close to 1846, when the brand was founded. The exhibit brings together a range of items from this early period, featuring vanity cases and other travel accessories, right through to the iconic handbags of the modern era, as well as the house´s most emblematic collections including ¨Manhattan¨, ¨Ante Oro¨, and ¨Grandes Arquitectos¨.
