LOEWE Conversation #7
Collecting; two approaches, same objective
To mark the latest chapter in the long-standing partnership between LOEWE and ARCOmadrid – the annual contemporary art fair in Madrid – the LOEWE Foundation presents a conversation between Juan Mulder Panas and Mario Rotllant Sola about their passion for collecting photography.
Taking place ahead of ARCOmadrid, as a preview to the international fair, this edition of ´LOEWE Conversations´ centers its thesis on the noble and often-overlooked discipline of building photography collections.
Our guest speakers are no strangers to this pastime, or each other for that matter, as they are friends and lifelong collectors. Both with strong corporate credentials, they have used their business nous to extend their passion for images beyond the amassing of important collections into the forming of important photography institutions in their respective countries.
Juan and Mario are going to discuss how their approaches diverge and where they crossover in their ongoing bid to champion photography and all its virtues.
ARCOmadrid is from 27 February to 3 March. .
