PHotoEspaña 2017

The LOEWE FOUNDATION presented the first solo exhibition in Spain devoted to Minor White, one of the most important American photographers of the 20th century. With this groundbreaking show, LOEWE aimed to raise the international profile of a key artistic figure whose work was instrumental in shaping the aesthetics of postwar photography.

In 2011 the LOEWE FOUNDATION began its partnership with PHotoEspaña, the largest photography festival in Europe, where it participates every year with an exhibition of a renowned photographer:  Tina Modotti (2015), Lucia Moholy (2016), and Minor White (2017) have been the latest shows presented by LOEWE during PhE.
