LOEWE at the Met Gala

We're proud to support the Met’s spring 2024 Costume Institute exhibition Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion, celebrated at the annual Met Gala, where friends of the house wore custom LOEWE looks inspired by this year's theme, 'The Garden of Time'.

A 3D molded bodice, made for Global Brand Ambassador Taylor Russell, is crafted using a hydro-dipping technique originally developed for the Spring Summer 2023 women’s runway show. The printing creates a trompe l’oeil effect mimicking wood marquetry. The bodice is contrasted with a silk crepe marocain skirt.

A molded leather bustier made for Ariana Grande is decorated with iridescent mother-of-pearl, while a trapeze coat in duchess silk created for Alison Oliver is hand-embroidered with crystals and features a patchworked train constructed in antique garments and fabrics from the 16th century.

A tuxedo coat, created for Met Gala co-chair Anna Wintour, is decorated with tulip bouquets using hand-dyed feathers, inspired by an 1889 cape by Charles Frederick Worth and tailoring from the LOEWE Fall Winter 2024 women’s collection.
