An afternoon with GISELLE

In between shooting our Spring Summer 2026 precollection with GISELLE in Seoul, Korea, the singer and LOEWE Brand Ambassador sits down to reflect on her career so far and what she is setting her sights on next.

How have the last five years since your debut been?

Everything went by so fast. So there's not just one single moment that pops up. It's more the whole process, how much everything has changed, and how much I've experienced within the span of five years. I think it's the most dense five years of my life. The whole thing feels like a huge event. It doesn't even feel real.

What does confidence mean to you and how do you work on it?

I think being in touch with my spirituality and with myself in general… When you're all over the place, busy or just thinking about other stuff or your life is complicated, you don't really have the time to think or reflect on yourself. So when you're caught up in times like that, you don't realise that you're losing confidence. You're just caught up in the moment day by day, doing what you have to do. And so when all that's over, and your life is a little bit more peaceful, that's when you realise that you're lacking something, that's when you start to build your confidence again. That's kind of how I feel. To build my confidence, I try to reflect and take time for myself, which is very hard to do.

What is it like to tour globally?

There are two parts of being on tour: me as a human being and me as a singer. As a human, you have no sense of time because of jet lag. So you don't have a night and a day. I think that does mess with your biorhytm. As a singer, it's the most fun. Being able to meet fans all around the world is very interesting because it's all the same fandom, but they're all different, and their reactions to songs are all different as well. It's always good to me because, outside of tour, we don't really have a chance to see our fans globally, but they support us so much, which is why I love touring.

What do the bead bracelets you brought to set mean to you?

I think they hold a certain energy. Not everyone will understand. It doesn't have to be because a stone is rose quartz means it helps with beauty or whatever. It's not really that. It's the energy that I charge with it, similar to what you see in old-school cartoons, like powerful rings. I think of it like that.

What is your next dream?

I just want to reach people's hearts more. As someone who has influence, and as a public person, that's one thing that I really care about: being able to touch people's emotions and relate to people, and be someone who feels like they understand you. I want to be a person that makes fans feel understood and seen. That's my goal.
