
Writing the Prado 2026
We are proud to announce that Leïla Slimani has now begun the Writing the Prado 2026 programme. A collaboration betwee the Prado Museum and LOEWE FOUNDATION, Writing the Prado invites leading international writers to draw on the museum’s collections and history as inspiration for new works, to be published by the museum and Granta en español magazine.


Leïla Slimani
Leïla Slimani (Rabat, 1981) studied at the Institut d’Études Politiques de Paris and the École Supérieure de Commerce, and worked as a journalist for L’Express and Jeune Afrique before turning to writing full-time. She is the author of several titles, including Adèle (2019), The Scent of Flowers at Night (2023) and the Country of Others trilogy. In 2016, she was awarded the Prix Goncourt for Chanson douce (Lullaby).
