Meet the artists and artisans

The main protagonist of LOEWE Weaves is the Galician chestnut roaster: a handmade clay pot punched with holes. Each has become a canvas for artists and artisans to explore experimental weaving techniques, twisting their functionality and giving them new life.

Antonio Peréira

The maker behind the Galician clay pots themselves is Spanish artisan Antonio Peréira, whose craft has been passed down from generation to generation of potters before him.

Idoia Cuesta

Idoia Cuesta is a Spanish leather artisan who has crafted pieces for LOEWE’s runway and RTW collections. Her chestnut roaster weaving technique is directly inspired by the Japanese art of bamboo Ikebana.
